Chul Hyun Ahn
Chul Hyun Ahn was born in Busan, South Korea. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Chugye University of the Arts in Seoul. In 1997 he moved to the United States and received a Master of Fine Arts from the Mount Royal School at the Maryland institute College of Art in Baltimore in 2002.
He does installation art and light art and his art is said to be like "a rabbit hole to another world—underwater, outer space, afterlife—or journey to the unknown, the kind of leap of faith involved in the artist’s own passage to an unfamiliar country and language." He uses mirrors to give it an effect of a never ending portal or pathway.
