I was looking for an artist who does oil painting and i came across with this artist called Malcom Liepke.

He is an American painter born in Minneapolis .He studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, but dropped out after a year and a half.

Personally, when i see his artworks, i feel like im reading fashion magazines, which enjoy a lot.

He mostly paints potraits .Portraits of females posing in various fashions, many looking directly out into the viewer’s eyes.
Its interesting to me because he has a way of expressing his paintings that makes layers of content in simple strokes of paint.
i can also feel that the paint is thick, and the strokes are often wide-set.

I can also feel that he has good understanding about how to pose models. They are not in ridiculous poses, but he seems to express the drama of a natural pose
There usually isn’t too much detail in the scenery, but he always includes an object with a strong horizontal or vertical orientation
