Bridget Bate Tichenor
Bridget Bate Tichenor was a Mexican surrealist painter and a fashion editor, born in Paris,1917. Although born in France, she spent her youth in England as her father was British. She then went to Paris and live with her mother at the age of 16 and worked as a model for Coco Chanel ( a french designer who founded the famous Chanel brand) . Much later she then moved to Mexico and live there for the rest of her life.
Her style is based on the late 16th century's italian tempera technique. She was taught by Paul Cadmus ( most of his art works are of eroticism). Tichenor considered her artworks to be spiritual, with most of it reflecting on occult religion.

Personally I've been a great fan of surrealism and i think she truly captures the style of it. I also like most of her artwork's eyes are done, it seems like it truly has a deep meaning behind it even though the expression is plain.
