Pablo Picasso - Blue Nude
Blue Nude is one of Pablo Picasso's master piece in his early years. It was painted in 1902 and after one of his close friend tragically died, he mourned over it for a long time and was in a depressive mode. It is one of Picasso's paintings during his blue period and has without a doubt proved Picasso's talent on highlighting the deepest emotions while using only one color to effectively express it. Pablo Picasso is one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co-invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore.
I like this work because this work only used 1 colour and that is blue.. Despite only using one colour, the painting tells many emotions of sorrow which is quite an accomplishment itself using one colour. In my opinion, the colour blue depicts the tears and how the lady is sitting with her head looking down most probably crying.
what about the black outlines
