Chihiro Iwasaki (いわさき ちひろ (岩崎 知弘)
Chihiro Iwasaki (15 December 1918 - 8 August 1974) was a Japanese artist and illustrator who is best known for her water-colored illustrations of flowers and children, the theme of which was 'peace and happiness for children'. And also in 1981, Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window, written by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, was published with selected illustrations by Iwasaki. The majority of her illustrations were water-colors, but some of her work contained Japanese calligraphy, and she also produced some oil paintings. Her style of art was largely influenced by two of her favorite writers, Kenji Miyazawa and Hans Christian Andersen.
i personally like her style of art because although her work looks simple, it allows us to be able to understand it and it leaves an impression of happiness and joy as she uses bright colors and simplicity to express it.
